“Quality makes a subtle difference”
At MOSUO we are committed to creating jewellery of the finest quality with a great eye for detail. Our highest concern is to act as sustainably as possible in every step we take: Starting with ethically sourced raw materials, over the manufacturing process and including our packaging.
We make sure that our materials are responsibly sourced and of the finest quality. The crafting process of our jewellery takes place in family owned ateliers with ethical working conditions. Our MOSUO collection is handmade of 14 karat gold and selected precious stones.
Our greatest importance is to create jewellery pieces that withstand the challenges of everyday life and last for a lifetime.
14 karat gold is known for its high quality and durability so it won’t tarnish or fade over time, even with washing and everyday wear.
Precious stones play an essential part in the creation of our fine quality pieces. Therefore we select natural diamonds and other gemstones, like sapphires and pearls for the jewellery pieces. Exclusively for our Nomad collection we chose multi faceted zirconia stones. All MOSUO stones are always being handset.
The quality of diamonds is determined by their main features. These are: Colour, Cut, Clarity and Carat. The colour of our diamonds is graded F-I, which means “near colourless”. All diamonds used in our jewellery are full cut, meaning they have 57-58 facets and are shaped into a round brilliant cut.
The clarity refers to any imperfections in the diamond. We use so-called “eye-clean” diamonds of SI1 – SI2 clarity or higher, resulting in no visibility of inclusions to the naked eye. Carat is a measure of a diamond's weight. 1 carat equals 200 mg (0.2 g).
Cubic Zirconia is an artificially manufactured stone which offers high scratch resistance. Its multi faceted cut provides it with the characteristic, dazzling look of a natural gemstone.
All of our enamel details are always hand-painted. This material is a type of allochromatic glass that is water resistant.
